The Altrad Balliauw Group must be able to respond to the needs of its customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Logistics is therefore an important part of our organization. With an average of 50 employees in the department, we manage a stock of roughly 20,000 tons of scaffolding equipment. We ensure the day-to-day loading, transportation and renovation of equipment thanks to a sizeable fleet of vehicles: •28 trucks, high-lift trucks and sprinters

• 27 tractors To ensure the erection and dismantling of our scaffolding, over 750 erectors can be called upon to work on the different sites. A free daily transport service is provided to take them to the site. Every day, thanks to an automatic message service, the employees receive their detailed work schedule for the following day. This is communicated via mobile phones distributed to the work staff, displaying the time, meeting point and destination.
The planning department, made up of about ten people, thus manages over 70 cars per day for the supervisory staff and 130 minibuses to transport the workers. At any moment, a satellite positioning system can locate each vehicle, enabling us to send messages and information of all types to our workers. This system allows us to react in real time to any additional staff requirements received from our customers.
